Helen Miller has been a member of the Colony Park Neighborhood Association for twelve years, serving as vice-president for five years and as a core team member. The core team, in partnership with the City of Austin, developed a master plan for 208 acres in Colony Park, funded by a federal grant.
She served as co-chair on various AISD Council Advisory Committees from 2003-2014 and has been a community representative at AISD Alternative Learning Center and LBJ High School since 2014, helping parents find resources for their children. Additionally, she served on the AISD budget stabilization task force committee from July to October 2018.
Helen worked at the State General Land Office for 22 years before retiring.
